My 14 year old daughter has been told by the quack that she has a bunion. But after reading up on it, it appears bunions occur on the big toe joint. my daughter's "bunion" is on the outside of her foot by her little toe.

Is this possible ? Any tips etc whilst she's waiting to see the specialist ?

Seems to be called a bunionette, some info here, but can be found by googling "Bunion Little Toe side" also....

I would assume by "quack" that you mean "doctor?"

Bunions, by definition do occur on the big toe....but they are just exostosis (outgrowths of bone)

Exostosis can occur anywhere where there is bone......the little toe in the case of your daughter.
