I was taken on time and I was out an hour later Sibton.
I think its good news really. He was impressed and my sight has improved as well apparently and he said its better than 20/20 which is impossible LOL
Might not be able to get back into learning to drive for a wee while or at least not until I have finished all treatment and I can't have my glasses changed either
Thank you everyone - I'm glad that it is nearly all over, he asked if I wanted to do it one eye then come back a few weeks later and have the second done. I decided to go for both at the same time. Now I just have to wait for the appointment to come through.
Bazile - blood vessels had formed at the back of my eye due to some problems with my diabetes and if they were to burst I'd end up blind.
I think he made a wee mistake with the 20/20 thing lol
I am a little bit Parkdale but not that I still have to have a bit more treatmen, just that I may not be able to continue driving for a bit or at all. Fingers crossed that they say it will be fine and I can get back into it as I want my independence and have my own set of wheels and can ferry myself places. All in all they were very pleased with the results so far so I am happy that so far everything has been successful and that the pain was worth it - which it has been :)
so pleased to read your thread qom. that sounds as though you are going in the right direction. there will be no holding you when they tell you not to darken their doors again. i'll drink to that.
thank you Ann and Lady J, I'll still have to attend for retinopathy and such likes but I'll be glad to not have to go back. I feel so much better, my eyes don't hurt when I move them and I don't get sick when going on drives (as a passenger) I'm glad to be heading on the right path :)
