Is it possible to record sound onto a cd in the computer from a youtube video.

You could use Audacity which is free or you could use one of the many free downloaders, Google is your friend !

I use VDownloader which gives you the option to save as video or MP3. It's free and really easy to use. You just copy the URL of the Youtube video you are watching, and then paste it into VDownloader.
