Help me invent some fun round the dinner table :)

We are having a staff party at the start of December, my manager has asked me to help organise the dinner, choose a restaurant and organise the dates etc, all fine, and done. But... I want a game to play, that involves interaction, so we are not only talking to the person we are sitting next to all night. Something fun, modern, and not too difficult to organise. I also don't want something that you have to be super brainy to play (I want to win) just a joke.
Yeah, any suggestions of interaction games, gets people talking, not too hard to organise, doesn't involve too much movement. Idea's a welcomed.
I'm aware this kinda depends on seating arrangement, and to be honest, we'll probably be sitting in 2 tables of 8. 16 people one Friday night, and 16 people the next Friday night. That's how we are working it. So some type of competition might be good, the 2 tables of 8 have a small competition going on between them, and the following week the same, a small competition. We could even tally our scores up at the end and have an overall winning table from the whole team. I dont know... I would like a few options :)
Anyone know anything about this type of games? Maybe we could invent one tonight? :D
Thanks!

Lol all you need is a box of After Eights. Take one out the wrapper, stick it on your forehead, scrunch and move the muscles in your face to move it down towards your mouth...no hands allowed..... and it can take aaaages! People normally end up with a lovely chocolatey smear accross their face! It's one for when you are slightly drunk! lol

It would be cool if everyone chose something and took it along with them, as a kind of theme. Not dressed up though, just something... I don't know. What could people take, that we could make fun with in some way? Something people would go for...
If I find/think of something it would be great, but if not, we'll go for a nice meal anyway :) Maybe people might hate the idea of a game though, and not want to get involved. But if I come up with a good idea, I can put it to them anyway, and see what they think. My boss already said it was a good idea. Hum haw... :)

If you go on IMDB you can copy pictures for movies with a Christmas theme (search Santa, Elf, Scrooge, Christmas, I got about 15. Then ask people to put them in date order. There is also a free sheet of celebrities disguised as Santa which I found by googling "celebrities disguise Santa". Alternatives you can disguise your own celebrities. Another good fun is to ask people to donate pictures of themselves when they were small then ask people to guess who's who. Enjoy!! and well done you for organising it. I hope they appreciate you.
