Would love to finish this quiz but have a few very dubious answers.
8 Could be Shakespeare (5), have seen answered Bacon & Bread but do not understand either
10 What would you grab as a boy (6.5) seen as Caesar Salad & Finger Salad ?
12 Little Mother (7) Also seen as Marmite & Martini ?
Finally the one that is driving us all to distraction:---
44 Sad song about inefficient locking system (8,5)

All I can come up with is porridge oats ( that is if the letters could have been printed wrongly as 5 instead of 4 )
Sad song =dirge
Inefficient = poor
ats = anti theft system
dirge poor ats = porridge oats

Like you,shaneystar, I thought porridge could be part of the answer but couldn't think of the second word. Your answer sounds good. Perhaps setter has made a mistake???
