In Windows, you can change the type of account (in the control panel - user accounts) from an guest account to an administrator one, but if the administrator account is password protected you need your daughter to signin and allow to change the password to one of your choosing.
There always has to be at least one administrator account who can make changes to the O/S. Once you have the administrator rights, you can set up heaps of accounts if you like, or none. You can even turn the guest account off. AS administrator you can have Windows start up in your account so you don't have to login... this ofcourse, is only if your account is not password protected......... I think.
