What kind of plughole / waste can withstand neat bleach without tarnishing?
8 Answers
I am having a new bathroom installed.
When I'm cleaning, I like using neat bleach on the plugholes. I know that bleach tarnishes gold-effect fixtures, so we've chosen silver metal. In the past (in rented houses) we've had some silver metal plug holes that have tarnished from bleach, and some that haven't. It seems to be the shinier, more expensive-looking plugholes that get tarnished, so I don't want those.
What kind of plugholes / wastes should I order? Should I be opting for stainless steel rather than "chrome"?
Many thanks.... Julia xxx
