I think Great Universal Stores, GUS, run some of them.
A lot of catalogues are, click onto this link.

Some I know of are too, makes you wonder how they manage/afford to run all these different companies, though perhaps it's something to do with tax situation...
There are several different 'big' companies most of which have a gaggle of smaller ones. Not all though - Damart and Daxon I think are standalone.

Market differentiation may have as much to do with it as tax.
I wouldn't say all, but there are some obviously with the same source.
Some are under several umbrellas - JD Williams run several catalogues.
Remember when I run years ago a few were in the same group are you looking to run one fruitsalad or just an enquiry (just being nosey lol)

was looking to run one pizza and had been looking at their websites thats when I noticed they all seemed the same
If they are so closely associated, it is surprising that they have very different prices for the same thing. I have just priced a toy
( exact same) at £6.99, £7.49, and £9.99. And no, p&p is not included.

atalanta I also noticed the difference in prices as they are all one of the same
I remembered this thread last night while I was trying to arrange a 'return' to House of Bath ....... and surprisingly in the small print I noticed J.D. Williams details
