Where can I get an attractive type of paper to use as an insert for my cards. I need to print verses on it in an ink jet printer.

I've bought hammer effect paper in Partners to do the same thing, when I bought it in the summer it was buy one get one free as weel so even better value, it was 5.99 a pack

Watercolour paper has a 'textured' finish - choose either a 'Rough' or 'NOT' (sometimes called 'cold-pressed') finish. The latter being slightly smoother.

If you choose the lighter weights, (190 or 300 gsm), then they should go through your printer without problem - I've been able to use both these weights in mine. Heavier weights of paper tend to start slipping, so are best avoided.

i don't know where you live but in the lake district near kendal is croppers paper mill. they have a pick n mix shop where you buy a box (various sizes) and fill it with paper or card of any size. this papermill makes all types of specialist paper and card (they actually make the red paper for the poppy appeal poppy). it could have glitter or embedded textures. anyway the shop is open every day but only limited times at weekend. my family make our own cards and this is where we go.

this is the web site

for some reason copy and paste of a web address doesnt always work on here. there seems to be a couple of unwanted characters added to the end of the address. clear the bit on the end when it is pasted into the address so it ends with .co.uk
