Hello!
I joined a running club back in January and more or less go religiously every Tues and Thurs, only missing the odd one or two. I also go out with a friend running on a Sat morning but we've only been doing that for about the last 2 months.
Last night we did our second 5km timed trial (last one 2 months ago). I did fine and managed it although found it hard going. Last night and today I keep feeling an overwhelming need to take a deep breath and sometimes feel I need to yawn straight after taking the deep breath. I don't always feel the satisfying feeling you get from taking a deep breath.
I am wondering if I pushed myself too hard last night or didn't breathe correctly whilst running so this is why I feel the need to keep taking deep breaths?
I am 34 years old and haven't smoked for about 10 years now.
Hi Wingnut, you sound like you just need the extra oxygen to recover from your run. Don't think you need to worry. When I push myself too hard I have a bad day the next day. Oh and I'm 62!

Thanx Tenrec! it has got a bit better but still feel the need to take a deep breath every now and then but not like when I first posted this question. Maybe I'm moving onto my next stage of fitness with the running?
Not sure what or who was removed but didn't see it so assume it was rude/out of order etc.. naerr mind! :o)
