Love to go with Eddie's plan, my wife won't even think of agreeing to that!
Petal, I feel for you, I don't know exactly how you feel [no-one can]; but we were in similar circs last year. It was [and still is] very, very hard for my wife, but every day is easier/better than the one before.
I digress, cheap as poss and if there's any spare money, it goes to my charity of choice.

Like Eddie low key - back door crematorium (ideally in a pannier on the back of a Highland pony - unlikely to do a Dettori leap) or donate to the local medical school.
I did check to find out if the School of Medicine would accept me with so many bits missing and they were happy with that.
Then I have to think of what the family would be happier with. Better hurry up!

The thing is, you can plan all you like but it's ultimately not up to oneself but the folk not yet dead. I aspire to cause as little upset as possible, and so while I'd prefer to be wrapped in a duvet and planted under a sapling oak tree really it'll be down to them.
A very nice man that I used to work with chose to be buried in his own back garden. Now I did find that a bit challenging.
