My integrated fridge freezer keeping getting a pool of water in the bottom of the fridge part and not getting cold enough (its about 9 degrees). Can this be fixed with a thermostat? Have no idea what make it is but will have been a cheaper one. It is about 8 years old. Should I just buy a new one? My OH loves trying to fix things so he would certainly have a go!! thanks Julie
Yes, I replaced one on ours, its a Ariston, depending on your make / Model, Google yours + the Model No, make sure it's a UK site, it took me about an hour to sort.
Depending of the make and model there is a drain point at the bottom back of the fridge that may get blocked with a bit of debris which is easily removed and fixes the problem.
I will have another look later on Ilove, have to go out,Doc check up A nice Taxi driver knocked me over this morning, he CUT a corner of a junction as I was crossing it, Nice man.
I cured my LEC fridge freezer of this problem by letting it have an overnight de-frost. The drainage channel gets frozen down near the bottom and the water cannot escape down the tube. I find it needs an overnight defrost every year at least.
