Edward VIi was Albert Edward. Prince Charles can go by any name when he is king, he has enough to choose from. How about Philip - we've not had one of them and in deference to his dad.
and Albert was Edward VII too....you are right there on the others, JTH; strikes me that it is the men who want the name changes!
