How long should it take for stitches to dissolve?
6 Answers
I was sterilised (keyhole) 3 and a half weeks ago. I was told the stitches were dissolvable but no one said how long they would be in for. They made the incision in the middle of my belly button (not underneath like I was previously told). So this has dragged the inside of it out a little and when its clamped by the stitches it looks a bloody mess to be honest! I'm just getting a bit concerned that it wont ever look like it did again! Is this normal?

No big deal............except of course for the inconsiderate surgeon who "cobbles up" the wound.........this happens far too often .

Anyway I think I will make an appointment as I cant bare to pull them out myself.
Sqad what do you mean exactly by 'cobbled up'? I think thats a good description of how my belly button looks now actually!
