Poor script, most unrealistic. The young girl is missing all day and noone tries to search for her? What was the liaison officer doing about it? Nothing. Meanwhile, the girl has picked up a young lad, and gone swimming - heavens knows where! At times, the brother appears simple minded. Unless he is a total scum bag, would he have left the Gran that first day? I did not engage with any of the characters.
OK, I've not seen it. (I don't even know whether it's a film or a TV programme). But . . .

I had a 14-year-old lad in my class who left home on a Thursday morning but didn't turn up for school. He never arrived home that night, nor on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It was MONDAY before his parents even bothered to report him missing! Some families are like that!
With the obvious exception of 'Men Behaving Badly', has Martin Clunes ever helped any programme along? His acting talents seem to be very limited to me.
Was slightly irritated as I had a long telephone call just 10 minutes into it. Was going to watch it on the "play again" feature, but don't think I'll bother now.
I didn't mind it but was more interested in looking out for places I knew as it was filmed in my home town. However... some of it was very strange, such as none of the family seemed heartbroken at the fact the mum and dad were both dead. The mayor (Martin Clunes) didn't seem to fit in anywhere. I'll watch next week to see how it goes but won't hold my breath!
