Corel Paint Shop Images to view on TV?

I have a file that has been sent to me, when I click on it, it opens up in Corel Paint Shop Pro X, but this is only a trial version that has now expired.

I know that I can choose another application for it to open in eg Windows Media Player, but can this be made permanent?

Also I now want to put these images onto a USB stick so that I can view them on my TV, How can I do this please?

Of course. Right click a picture and choose Open with
DO NOT select anything from the offered list, but select "Choose program" (or words to that effect.)
Choose the application and check the box "Always use the selected program..."

Same way as you copy files to any other location.
Select the files you want to copy. Use ctrl-click to select non-contigous files or shift-click to select a set of contiguous files.
Right-click any of the select files, choose copy
Double-click computer
Double-click the USB stick
Right-click and choose paste

Or to save a few clicks for the copy to usb, right click on the files you want on the USB stick, select send to and then select the USB stick in the list that comes up.

Thanks both to rojash and Chuck. I know how to transfer the files to the USB stick, but what I really want to know is what format do they have to be so as to play them on my TV? Corel Paint Shop Pro X, or Windows Media Player, or which other, please, or doesn't it really matter?

It should tell you in the TV manual, which may also tell you limitations on file size, compatible file-system formats (eg FAT16, FAT32), and any possible limitations on folder depth. Shame you didn't mention mak and model of TV.

I have managed to get it to open every time in Windows picture and fax viewer, but with those images being short videos, what would be the best format so as to play on my TV.

My TV is a Sony Bravia, but not sure about the model.

So they are not images, but videos.

Bravia is a brand named introduced seven years ago by Sony.

Without a model number, it's meaningless.

I bet they are animated GIFs.

In which case the TV won't show them.
