Ceiling Decorations

The garlands look SOOO Christmassy BUT I cannot get the mettalic 'stars shapes to hang from the ceiling. There is a small piece of string at the top of each star but using gaffa tape or drawing pins is no use on my ceiling. Any ideas?

hang them from the garlands not the ceiling

Thx dotty but I think they may pull the garlands down as they are quite big. Back to the think tank!!
