Printer prob AGAIN!!

HELP! My PC says printer is jammed and yet I can print various papers on the printer but not from the PC. I have set it as default. I typed a letter on MY Documents but unable to print it. What's happened? I have HP 1400, 1400 Copy 1, and 2. Initially I tried to copy a certificate on photo paper & that's when it jammed but since then I've been able to print on the printer itself. Waddya reckon?!!

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer driver. (It seems to be falsely reporting a jam which has already been cleared).

What exactly do you mean when you say that you have "typed a letter in My Documents"?
My documents is a folder, not a word processing program. What word processing program are you using? We established many moons ago that you had uninstalled MS Word. Have you reinstalled it (at an exhorbitant price)? or did you take the advice of the good folk on here and install OpenOffice?
You can't just type a letter in My Documents.
Please reply and then we'll be able to help you!

Hi MichaelZZ, apologies for late reply. The letter I typed was on WORD PAD not My documents. MY ERROR!! SORRY! In the meantime, whilst at work my nephew popped in and got it all working again!! Can't begin to explain what he did as he was gone when I returned and is difficult to get in touch with BUT! I shall question him on Christmas Day!! I didn't install Open office as Word Pad suffices, usually(!?!)
