Have you ever had a christmas present that you dont really want?If that happens do you give it to someone else at a later date or do you take it to a charity shop?
I remember hearing on the radio once, they were talking about this and a lady unwrapped a present from her friend. It was an apron. She didnt want it to so gave it to another of her friends. After christmas she met this friend again and she said to her thank you ever so much for the apron, and for the contents of the pocket. It was very generous of you!
Of course she didnt know about this or how much was in the pocket! lol
That will teach her!

Depends what it is - I can either sell it on eBay, give it to a charity shop, or donate it to one of the local organisations for a raffle prize.
I tend to donate them to charity or give them to a close friend or relative that would appreciate it - I would tell them that it was a gift to me in the first place though! And I wait a decent period of time before passing them on.

Years back, I was house-sitting for my brother and his now ex-wife. It was just after Christmas and they had left all their presents on the dining table. Now, I admit I was being nosey so I had a wee look. Not a proper rummage, just a wee look. I spotted a pair of red jammies and a cat ornament that were to be come my present from them the following Christmas... I wouldn't have been bothered if they had said that she had been given them and they just weren't her thing.
I always used to get bath sets from the MIL, that I never ever used.
They went straight to the charity shop.
Not because I didn't like them, or was being ungrateful, but just because I knew I wouldn't use them.
She wouldn't have minded, I'm sure.
An aunty of mine used to save nearly all presents received, and wrap them up and give them out the following year, or find things from around the house that she hasn't used. When I was ten years old, she gave me a toilet brush and holder that had sat nicely in her bathroom for a few years (yeah, we threw it away!) Tend to buy her cheap and cheerful pressies now, or nice cloths in my size, not hers, in the anticipation of getting them back next year!
