East Anglia has great sunrises and sunsets (when the conditions are right) though. Lowestoft is as far east as you can go but Southwold (just down the coast) is a far nicer place to visit, and the sunrise will look just the same. From there it's fairly easy to drive to Hunstanton (which is the only east coast resort facing west) to see the sun set over the sea later on.

I agree about Hunstanton for great sunsets.
In fact people come out their houses and put deckchairs on the sea front JUST to watch the sunsets.
I stayed at a B&B called Rose Fitt house and their main front bedroom has a great view out to sea, and you can even lie on the bed watching the sunset.
