I know she downloads music from iTunes so a CD wouldn't get used. I was thinking something a bigger/better.
I'm reluctant to choose anything to wear for her and not sure her size anyway. She is dieting ready for their wedding next summer. All our family have been boys so I am not into choosing girly things.
Depends what your budget is I guess ........... what about perfume? This would cover several price points but would start about £30 odd........... and perhaps your Grandson can tell you what she uses? Does she have a hobby? Anything you can get for that?
A Pretty modern scarf probably would be very acceptable and her size won't matter. There are a lot of really lovely and fashionable scarves to choose from. You could enclose a voucher with it and then she gets something to open and something she can spend.
I would hesitate to buy someone perfume unless you know exactly what she likes. I have quite a few bottles of unused perfume and perfumes smell different on different people. Perfume is very personal. Just my opinion.
how about an itunes voucher and a scarf/skin care set/small piece of jewellery? i have bought my son s gf some perfume, a scarf and mittens set and made a necklace for her. cost me £2o......do you ebay? it's a fantastic place to get bargains....but it's getting close to xmas now so online purchases need to be quick x
I would suggest a lovely scarf or pashmina. Perfume is a great gift but ONLY if you know EXACTLY what she likes otherwise it's a total waste of money and it will only then be used as air freshener. !! As you say, a voucher is not really a proper present for a 27 year old.
Buy a nice scarf from M&S - M&S is safe for this sort of present, if she doesn't like it they'll let her exchange it for something else, no questions asked.
I have made up my mind thanks to you lovely people.
I will buy her a warm soft long scarf she can wind round her neck and as puzzled54 suggests a garter to wear at her wedding as a jokey present. She will love that idea.
My Grandson is easy,he will be getting an electric drill. Ours seems to be on permanent loan so once he has his own he won't need to borrow ours:-)))))
