It was once pointed out to an OP that a thank you would be nice, and the OP's reply was something along the lines of 'but I didn't think that it was necessary to say thank you.' As if we're all robots, just sitting here, waiting to spring into action!

It really gets my goat bookbinder and if people can't say thank you I'm afraid I can't be bothered to give the answer.

I agree. It's annoying when, having spent perhaps an hour or so researching a quiz question - often a difficult and obscure one - the recipient can't be bothered to acknowledge.
