Beso -
You're not even honest with yourself, let alone others. You quite clearly said earlier, “... There is some room for debate over whether these changes are caused by human activities but the AWG case is very strong...”. When I suggested that you have finally admitted that any apparent extreme weather event or supposed global warming may be due to the earth's natural glacial / inter-glacial cycle, you promptly back-peddle and say, “... I did not say that. I said there was room for debate. It can be debated because it requires interpretation of the science not simply outright measurement...”
No Beso, no. You clearly and unequivocally stated that there is a very real possibility that the tiny changes we are seeing are due to natural variability. You may not have meant to say it but say it you did.
You then falsely attempt to suggest that it is I who is dishonest because I said, “... you admit that all of this may be due to natural variability...”. You have taken the phrase “all this” and deliberately twisted it so that you're now claiming that I accept that extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and that the earth is warming at an alarming and unprecedented rate. You do so in the full knowledge that I don't think that this is the case. To clarify, the phrase “all this” meant the misreporting of extreme weather events as being attributable to AGW. But you knew that already didn't you?
It is clear from our acrimonious exchanges that you are two things. First, you are a colossal hypocrite. You live your comfortable modern lifestyle because of technology and fossil fuels. You have more than one fossil fuel powered vehicle. Your entire world depends upon fossil fuels and the products that are manufactured from them.
Second, you are a colossal hypocrite. You talk repeatedly about science looking at the evidence and yet you dismiss out of hand those scientists who don't agree with your conclusions. If you truly believed in the scientific method and the pursuit of truth you would not talk about people who doubt that Earth's populations are not in dire jeopardy as being 'sick' or 'greedy' or 'selfish', etc.
You like to portray yourself as impartial and as being driven by logic and egalitarian values. Nothing could be further from the truth where AGW is concerned. You are a fanatic. You also fail to understand (or even acknowledge) the very real and dire consequences of a de-carbonisation of the world's economies and the effect that it will have on people living today. You're so busy bleating on about future generations that you're forgetting about the people who currently exist right here and right now.
