Lab Pup Eaten 15 Inches Of Gauze !

Hi my lab pup ate a strip of gauze the other day about 15 inches long, i havnt seen it in her poo, does any one know if it would breakdown or what is should do, she is eating, drinking, poo is fine and is lively,..

When you say the other day, how many days ago?

The thing is, even if you took her to the vet there is little they could do as I would assume it won't show up on an xray and they are unlikely to do anything unless she is showing signs of being ill :0/

I'd say as long as she seems well and is eating and drinking just keep an eye on her [and her poop] and it should pass through, mine have passed socks before now with no problems.

You can never be too sure with a puppy. I would see the vet so they are aware of what's happened. Better to be safe than sorry.

as long as she is eating and drinking not vomiting and not in pain it will pass if you are worried give your vet a ring and ask for advice , vet told me to give dog as much olive oil as it would drink when ours ate something it shouldnt as it would lubricate the intestines and help the passing
