I don't see anything wrong to be honest, my kids have been talking about it, thankfully they realise it's a load of BS, it seems the headmaster was trying to reassure the kids that the world wasn't going to end, this is according to a year 11 student at the school.

the way I read it was the OP was expecting the headteacher to debunk the whole theory - but didnt.
