The answer is of a nautical theme.
Q60: 52 preceeds 13 for general duties (8 letters).
I have an answer of 'Overboard' for number 52 and of 'Gangplank' for number 13. However, I still can't work out what the answer for Q60 should be!
Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

There are 52 playing cards in a deck. Maybe you should put aside thoughts of answers to clues 13 and 52. "Deckhand" might be worth considering, as a "hand" in bridge consists of 13 cards. Hence 52 cards "deck" precedes 13 cards "hand" A deckhand would perform general duties.
