I'm gobsmacked. The majority of those people would be anti-drink driving, I would've thought, yet they have physically helped him INTO the drivers seat!

I'm guessing it's a mixture of the desire to help and to avoid a confrontation and just not thinking but I'd love to hear a psychologist's evaluation.

I also don't think you can blame "some people" - the figures for opinions on drink driving suggest most of these people would probably have reacted in exactly the same way as we have.

These people are just like you and I - it suggests that however much we think we wouldn't probably a good number of us might have acted exactly the same way.

You'll think - Oh no I never would have - I'll bet a good number of those people would have said the same too

I know what you mean ttfn its our 26th anniversary today and Chief Stout has lost his sight so I have to drive and also have to stick to one white wine spritzer when we go out instead of the usual few vodka &tonics, he has chosen a restaurant too far for a cab.Never mind cant really handle drinks at lunch time after 6pm is a different story !
