Can anyone help please?
What do Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Leeds, Liverpool Manchester Norwich Nottingham Oxford Sheffield and Stoke all have which Brighton, Derby Peterborough Preston Southampton Sunderland and Wolverhampton do not have?(This is not a logic question)

It used to be that a city was always associated with having a cathedral which is the case with the first lot of well-established cities. Whereas, I recognise Brighton, Preston and Sunderland as being recently made cities.
