Try a micro-pedi from Amazon £29.95 they are like little razors with sandpaper instead of blades. Very good but you do need replacement rollers as they wear down quickly.

It was discovered that I was diabetic two years ago. My nurse to me I had to look after my feet which included moisturising them every morning. I had cracked skin on my heels and all that has now gone. Hope this helps.

I suffered from this as a young man. The only thing that worked was Hydrocortisone ointment, prescribed by the doctor. Slapped it on with a trowel (metaphorically) and had to wear 100% cotton 'undersocks' under my usual socks.

I used to have craters on the soles of my feet so bad I hobbled about, but they did get better, so go see your GP.

+1 for Flexitol..it does work,but you need to be religious in putting it on twice a day,every day.

I tried flexitol and found that my feet felt like they were burning. I have now got ureka cream, the low urea version and that works well. To keep the thickness of the skin on my heels down, I have a micro pedi (emjoi) which is brilliant.

I swear by a Swedish Cream called CCS. The cream has less urea than the CCS balm. Both are very good and are available in Boots. Much, much better than Flexitol and I never need to use a file on my feet any more. I use in nightly without fail.

It's also used by chiropodists, which is a good recommendation!!

boots do a cream for cracked heels i put it on at night then wear a pair of cotton socks all night takes a few gos

Echo what Mallyh said. Used Boots cream for cracked heels. Worked a treat after a few applications.

Scholl do a great cracked heel cream. It works very quickly indeed.

It is a matter of putting some sort of foot cream on your feet every morning or evening, whichever you prefer and remembering to do it every day. That is the answer - doing it on a regular basis.
