According to a 'QI' quiz from the Sunday Telegraph "at the stroke of midnight people in Yorkshire believed the bees in the hive would start humming to mark the birth of Christ. In some cases they were observed to hum popular hymn tunes". Sorry if this doesn't help much . . . no specific tune was mentioned!
