Memoryfoam Topper On Interior Sprung Mattress
11 Answers
Just on a year ago we treat ourselves to a good mattress. Interior sprung with a memory foam topper.
I have arthritis and tried so many mattresses over the years I truly thought I had got it right this time.
As often happens I have been to bed and had to get up as our bed it feels like I am lying on a rock. I seem to get into a comfortable position and feel trapped when I try to turn over.
This type of mattress is not recommended to turn it over....just rotate it.
I am now wondering if we turn it over completely to ignore the memory topper and just use the interior sprung area would this work.
Anyone done this? Does it help?
Another long uncomfortable night ahead.

Mum in law paid Nearly £600 for a mega memory foam mattress for us thinking it would be great for me, but its awful, and I feel so ungrateful. Its like sleeping down a hole, i cant turn over without jumping up and trying to turn. I wouldn't recomend them to anyone. ours is a 12" memory foam mattress.
In our caravan we have a 2" m foam matress topper on top of a sprung mattress, and this is much comfier. X

I'm pleased to heed your warning about the memory foam mattresses - I've wondered about them and read mixed reviews.
To answer your question, I don't think you have anything to lose by turning the mattress and giving it a try. It has to be more comfy than it is now. Hope it works and you have a better Christmas sleep!

Yes Bednobs I always wear a silky nightie.
This morning I was up before 5 am feeling like there were bricks in the bed. I have 5 replacement joints so multiple joint and muscle problems. I feel a lot of it must be me trying to toss about to get comfortable.
Grandson is coming over later in the week to help us turn the whole thing over. Thanks for your input
