A Bit Deflated!!

The anticipation of Christmas seems to start, for some, weeks even months before the big day. For me, I start to enjoy myself from around the 23rd December and my social calender is often busy. Then it all just passes me by in an anti climax (certainly this year) and I find myself back at work today wondering why I join the mass anticipation? I do this every year, sit down on the 27th December and think "Was that it?". Dont get me wrong I love to see my friends and family and it reminds me just how much I love them all, but, I should be grateful for them 365 days a year really!
Anyway, time to make a new years resolution or two..or three.... and look forward to a fairly relaxed week even though I will be working right up until 2pm on the 31st now (very little to do mind).
Any interesting resolutions ABers??

I am mightily relieved its all over, there are some aspects of christmas that are nice but the relentless build up since halloween finished has been draining. Roll on normality.... and better weather :)

I have to say that I agree. I absolutely ove Xmas Eve, then when it gets to Xmas day night i think well that was a bit of an anti-climax. But son had a fab day so I guess thats all that matters.

This was my first year without any kids at home. We were invited to friends for Xmas eve, Xmas day and yesterday but for me there was a big hole in my heart this year.

Resolution? Eat less horseradish. Well. Il like to have a resolution which I have a fair chance of keeping to.

For me, Christmas doesn't start until Christmas Eve,and never has, as it should (Twelve Days of Christmas and all that), but that's easier when you're retired or in a business which doesn't ordinarily restart until the second week of January (as I was). I wonder whether school teachers enjoy that privilege? But understand that feeling of being down after Boxing Day; it's all around.
