Yes, I had major weight gain on this, especially around my boobs! The minute I stopped taking it, it all dropped off again!

well the boob bit i don't mind! :-) it's the rest of the body though. did it increase your appetite? Or do you think the weight gain was purely hormonal?
I think it was hormonal as I wasn't eating anymore than what I normally would. Well my boobs just got out of control I'm size 8 - 10 but was having to get size 12 because of them lol! My weight gain was mainly in this area but I also but a bit of weight on my tummy and bum too.
OH NOOOOOO! I have just started this yesterday and, having recently lost 5 stone, am desperate not to put weight on. The FPC told me that it's all in your head and you should just eat healthily if you feel hungrier. I was hoping it wouldn't affect me as I was fine on the injection and that is progesterone only too.

Worried now.
don't worry meglet. It's not impossible for Cerazette to cause some weight gain, as in CAJ's case - but it is fairly rare. I've been on it for 6 years - made no difference to me.

It affects people differently - chances are it will make no difference to your weight.

thank you to all who answered. ....apparently one in ten suffer weight gain and acne...meglet I hope you and I are one of the "other " nine women ay? :-)

But knowing my luck...... ;-)
Hello. I too seemed 2 have gained weight since taking cerazette. I have been on it for about 2months now and I cant seem to conrol my weight. I dont eat more or more unhealthy foods and I try to exercise when I can. It is getting me down a little and Im also feeling emotional,a little more than usual.
I am tempted to come off cerazette to see if it makes any difference? what does anyone think?? help :(
I've definately put on weight since taking cerazette - I'm sure I'm not eating much more / doing much less!! Also bleed every week without fail :o(. Am going to make an appointment with my GP as no longer want to take it!!
I went on the cerazette a while ago, when I first started it I was dieting and exercising more than ever, and still rapidly gained 20lb couldn't understand it. I would like to know if the weight would come off again if I stopped taking it. I didnt get acne though which is good.
Hi, I do have Adenomyosis, similiar to Endometriosis. Symptoms were, irregular menses, over bleeding which last until 2 months for daily non-stop (Longest among my experiences.)
Previously I was recommended to consume another oral contraception pill, Yasmin. Which has caused me terribly weight gained. But it doesn't cure the symptoms I had. Yet, Im still facing sharp pains and over flow issue. Due to these, I was admitted to hospital for blood transfusion for 4 times in a year.
Just recent, a new doctor recommended me on Cerazette, she told me that it will cause weight gain as well. However, it's much better than Yasmin.
Which Im taking it daily till now. Less than a cycle. Thought Im still having menses now, but I found that my bleeding is not that much, and less discomfort.
Besides, I found appetite have been increased. Get hungry easily. FYI, I wasn't a big appetite person previously. I wonder if these are partly due to it.
