I knew I was getting a game. Either Forza Horizon, Far Cry 3 or Black Ops 2.

Was pleased when I unwrapped Far Cry 3. Only a few hours in and can already see its a quality game. Up there with Skyrim, Just Cause 2 etc.

far cry 3 for the boy on xbox; but hitman absolution for the ps3 was sent back after mr kicker's bd on the 20th. it is a very frustrating, niggle-driven game which kept crashing and corrupting data each gaming session and annoying him immensely each time he had to restart. i do wish game companies would test their games more prior to release (it was a great disappointment and very widespread problem) and offer players quicker patches or support when they go wrong. judging by the amount of games for resale in game and online, he certainly wasn't the only one to decide to wait for eidos to sort themselves out. good luck if you got that game for xmas....you'll need it (and patience - in buckets) x

lcg76 what you describe seems very odd.

I have Hitman Absolution on 360 and have not experienced 1 glitch or bug. It has kept me busy over Xmas and I've found it very enjoyable. I expect to complete it today/tomorrow and may either try out the contracts mode or move on to Far Cry 3.

My son got FIFA13, Forza 4 and Skyrim.
Forza Horizon is rubbish imo and doesn't deserve the Forza name.

I've only played the demo but as someone who has played the last 2 to death I agree with you. It was done by a different studio to the proper ones and it showed. Turn 10 are almost certain to be working on Forza 5 for next-gen.
