I want to add Ram and bigger hard drive. Advice?
3 Answers
Adding the Ram seems to be easy enough but I want more Hard Drive space too. I bought it and will tackle that in a couple weeks.
My OS is Windows XP Home with SP2.
I have no idea about partitioning etc or if this is even necessary.
I would like to do it myself if not too complicated.

if you want to transfer everything, including windows itself, onto the new drive, then you can use a program like Norton Ghost to do it for you very easily.
Basically, you'll probably find that the cable that your current hard drive is plugged into also has another connection available on it. its just a case of plugging it in like the current hard drive is, with power too. note the jumper settings on the back of your current and new hard drive. there has to be a slave and a master. if your current is master, make the new one slave.
