There was something on about this a week or so ago, you see someone Izzed out of their heads trying to get a key into the drivers side of a car, when asked, where are you going their reply, I'm driving home! what would you do?
Years ago I was in a small shop when a car parked outside and the driver took an age to get out. He was staggering all over the place and dropped his keys.
When he eventually got in to the shop he was slurring and obviously drunk - at 7.30 in the morning.
I called the police and they whizzed to the shop just as the man was trying to get back in to his car.
Turned out he wasn't drunk at all. He was diabetic in need of sugar and had been trying to buy chocolate. The police did call an ambulance and he was taken to hospital, so I did the right thing.
I was in that situation just before Christmas, I took his keys to 'help' him, then kept him talking while my OH rang the Police, who were there very quickly and took over, we just walked away then.
