Central Heating Thermostat Setting

Over a pint at lunch time I casually mentioned that I might increase my thermostat setting from 19C. Everyone around the table looked at me in disbelief and announced their temps which were between 14-18C. I was really rather surprised at this as I didn't think I was being particularly profligate with my heating.

What is your central heating thermostat set to?

When I get up I turn it up to 22, but if I still feel a bit cold I put it to 24. When I go out or when I go to bed I put it back to 16.
It probably depends where you live and also if your double glazing is any good.

Just turned ours down from about 22 to 18. Daughter had been messing.

dunno....haven't turned my heating on yet. and some of the windows are open. i'm under a blanket on the sofa and feel ok! x
