When shopping for my NYE cheese and wine fest, I only went and bought a tasteless unsalted butter!

Have you committed an act of sheer idiocy lately?

Where do I start?

Purse in fridge.
Purse in breadbin.
Go to buy milk, spend 26 quid and forget the milk.
Lose the car in the car park.
36????? Someone's going to age very well!
Lately? Probably, yes. I've deodorised my hair and gelled my underarms. I've put teabags in the fridge and milk in the cupboard. I've lost my mobile, it's been missing for a week, I dread to think where that is. I've checked the washing mashine, freezer and all pockets to no avail.
When I was a kid, my granddad sent me out with a shopping list. I thought I had done really well, and I had! Apart from one item, when I handed over a pound of sweets and it was suppose to be a pound of swede!
i woke up suddenly this morning at around 6ish, convinced that i had not heard my alarm clock .. and that i was late for work

i was fully dressed and halfway out the door before my brain switched on and i realised today was a holiday
Done that before, excel....feel such a berk!
Ahhhhhh! AC has just reminded me of the time I used spray fabric glue instead of hairspray.......lord, that was a disaster. :-(
not lately, but some years ago, the young albas went to separate birthday parties, I went to collect them and ended up outside my work instead.

Excel, done that too!! x
Not usually prone to such laxatives... uh... er laxities, but last night , (yes New Year's eve, but not a drop to drink.. in bed by 1100PM, here in the U.S.) it was time to change out my contact lenses. I wear them for one month (not overnight, though). Unboxed the new ones and laid them by the sink for next morning... dutifully marked "right" and "left"... all went well and placed them in my eyes this morning. The quality of vision was really pretty bad, but thinking they needed a slight break in I left them, but it became more and more annoying. Traipsed back to the bathroom, thinking somwhow I had inserted them in the wrong eye. As I took one out, it felt unfamiliarly "thick". On close examination, there was the new one on top of the old one... same for the left eye. I had, apparently, became so engrossed in getting the new pair ready for use last night for this morning that i had forgotten to remove the old ones.

Funny... I'm here admitting it to y'all but still haven't told Mrs. C (and don't intend to)... Happy New Year all!
Up until last week, I'd been starting work at 3am. I woke up a few weeks ago scrambling around for my mobile to check the time. No joy, no monile at hand. So I looked around, trying to work out the time, and I saw the alarm by the TV saying 1:13. Thank goodness for that, I thought. Another half an hour in bed. I lay down my head, then sat bolt upright. I don't have a clock in my bedroom! It was the virgin tv box, on channel 113, and worse still it was 2am, ready to get up!

no.
Buying some of that I can't believe it's not utterly butterly crap...urgh.

Mind you, it's very good for greasing cake tins!

I bought my mum some sugared almonds for her Christmas stocking. Couldn't find them in all her stocking stuff back home. Turned out that I've left them at my place! It would have been criminal to leave them uneaten though...
I love Lurpak unsalted. Used to buy wheelbarrow, but haven't seen that for years!
This morning I put a whites wash on, hung it all up before realising I forgot to put the soap powder in. Needless to say it was all re-washed with soap powder!
I lost my car keys over New Year, couldn't find them at all.... it was only after a flash of inspiration that I thought I might just have slipped them in the bag of shopping as I opened the front door - yay! - the shopping in question was a box of crackers for next Christmas, I nearly lost the keys for a year!
ha ha ha boxtops
that's a cracker!
The other day I put a cd in the microwave and wondered why I couldn't hear any music - stone-cold sober at the time waaa
JMR

maybe you thought that music was the food of love
haha excelsior :o)
Judging by some of the replies on here I don't think NoMercy has anything to worry about
That's so funny!
