Well you get the lists of foods as before, extra easy lists are coloured orange.
You have superfree foods which are most veg & fruit and free foods which is your fish, lean meat, eggs, potatoes, rice, pasta etc. You also have 1 healthy extra 'a' choice (milk, cheese etc) and 1 healthy extra 'b' choice (bread, cereals etc). Plus your syns.
You are supposed to fill at least 1/3 of your plate with superfree foods, 1/3 with free food and then the other 1/3 is healthy extras or syns.
It does work and I find it far easier being able to eat meat & carbs together without using healthy extras. Before I used to use quorn mince to make spag bol or chilli so I could have a green day and have pasta or rice. Now it doesn't matter, I can have the spag bol made with lean mince and have pasta with it, as long as I either have a large salad with it or chuck loads of superfree veg in the bolognaise.
As I said, if you find it easier you can still do red and green days and they do still have all the info for these on the website and in the books.
