Do you rely on convenience meals, either frozen or chilled, or do you cook your meals from scratch every day?

hc4361, you’re right, I think we all buy odd items – but this question is about meals – not odd items – and I never buy convenience meals. If we have chips I make them from real potatoes, if we have curry I make it, and my husband occasionally makes a mean pizza!!
Rarely use convenience meals.
Don't buy convenience meals, I cook from scratch except for oven chips (rarely) but I do buy convenience foods such as gravy/custard powder etc.
I rarely use ready meals, I dont like the amount of chemicals in them, I tend to cook mainly meat and veg, rice and pasta, cheese, eggs ect, I do make occasional cakes, not very often though. I do buy bread, bisto and we have a takeaway once a week, which tends to be a chinese.
Abourt half and half.
Never have convenience meals, but often put excess stew etc in vacu-pak or freezer for later use.
I never buy ready meals and rarely buy convenience food. I do buy oven chips for the step son and ready made puff pastry because I cba to make my own. Everything else is from scratch (but with a plethora of fresh eggs to use I have no excuse!).
always cook from scratch, any left over veg ends up as soup for lunch next day, dont like ready made meals I always think - I could have done better than that. Once a month we might have a chinky takeaway or skate from the chippy.
