Cute Coffee Maker

After years of using a coffee machine as big as my sofa, I've bought one of these cute little things that takes a "pod" of coffee, and makes one cup. Okay, it uses two pods to make a latte, but you know what I mean.

It feels a bit of a cheat, but it seems quite good.

Has anyone else tried one?

I bought my parents one fos Xmas a few years ago any they love it. They got me some decaff pods for when I visit.

I've go a Nespresso machine that takes pods and the coffee is great.

You'd need an awful lot of pods for that lot, jj :-)

I'd buy in bulk.

Actually, the pods are cheap at Costco, in multi packs.

I get my pods on an Amazon subscription, they work out quite a bit cheaper than the supermarket and they get delivered once a month.

Dallas is a long way to go for coffee

I just bought a Dolce Gusto, and I'm a bit disappointed. It's more convenient (no grounds to measure or spill), but.... the coffee isn't as strong or hot as I get from my espresso and filter machines. Better than instant "pretend" coffee, though.

I think it's the convenience that's the main plus.

This litte thing makes the coffee at 13 bars pressure, which is good. Some domestic ones work on 3 or 4, so you're not going to get much espresso strength.

I'm just having a latte with a big shot of Baileys. Yummy.
