Ground in courage - Earth, but I thought it was because you move the 'h' fromthe beginning of/first 'heart' ('courage' ) to last, eartH.

Sorry, sibton - I wasn't getting at you! It's myself I'm trying to train - I struggle with the harder crosswords (Mephisto, for example), so now I try to work out the whole answer, in case anything similar crops up again.
