That'll teach me to stay up on AB until 1.45 in a morning, went to bed at 2am, 3am woken by call from son, his fiancee had gone into labour at 2.30 and I had to take her into the hospital, did you see the thick fog we had in the early hours of this morning? It was scary! Anyway, the good news.

Lilah Jean Hawkes arrived at 6.29am 8lbs 30zs, very healthy chubby little baby girl and absolutely beautiful, well at least as beautiful as her older sister.

Lilah is pronounced like Delilah but without the 'De'. Named after the Character Lilah Morgan from the Angel TV series, that works with Anya too. The Jean is after me as it is my middle name and so that was a lovely surprise!

Anya went with us for late afternoon visiting yesterday and was introduced to the special surprise which she found very exciting, unfortunately the special surprise was a triple pack of custard cremes that she commenced devouring and totally ignored the baby sister! she's not been up to welcome baby sister home tonight, they were only discharged at 8pm and Anya is teething and so we gave her some calpol and put her to bed. It's going to be an interesting morning for her tomorrow!
