Kenwood Mixers & Attachments
6 Answers
Recently I've borrowed a friend's Kenwood and mincer attachment to make home-made burgers.
They're good. Really amazing actually.
Anyway, my actual question is - do all Kenwood's come with the same attachment sockets etc?
So, for example, if I got one of these: http:// www.arg os.co.u k/stati c/Produ ct/part Number/ 4262772 .htm#pd pFullPr oductIn formati on
Would I be able to use my friend's ancient mincer attachment? It kind of plugs in at the front behind the Kenwood logo. I can't tell if that would be the case on the above product.
Any help, advice, pointing in the right direction etc?
Thank in advance,

i could find a ref to it and it suggests not
"Most of the attachments are NOT compatible due to improvements and necessary adjustments over the years. The attachments that can be used are : Potato Peeler, Colander and Sieve, Citrus Press and bowls. Also, providing your model number ends in an A, i.e. A701A, the three main tools, whisk, k-beater and dough tool, are also interchangeable. The older liquidiser can be used BUT a new type base MUST be fitted."
"found the customer number if you rang and gave them both model numbers they should be able to tell you if parts are interchangeable
Yes, you can contact our Customer Care Centre on 0508 200 300. Please ensure you have your model number when calling. This can be found on the base of your appliance. Attachments can also be obtained through larger department stores."

"you minced your own beef?"
We did. It was amazing. If you use braising steak as the base and then add in a tasty steak for flavour the variation is massive. We did 3:1 braising:rib-eye and that was an amazing, juicy burger - possibly too juicy.
Also, you're not worried about having it done medium.
Thanks again to everyone, I should have known to look on the Kenwood site really!
