It's so true what I don't understand is you are supposed to be as attractive as your voice yet there are so many male radio presenters and news readers especially on BBC who sound like they would be very handsome men with sexy voices yet now you can so easily google and see what they look like ! Crickey what a disappointment ? :(

i googled one radio presenter , he has such a lovely voice, his face isn't unattractive, but they don't seem to match up.
''you are supposed to be as attractive as your voice''

Says who?

Apparently research says if you are good looking you have a good voice which is understandable as growing up you would full of confidence especially in this age we live in
I thought it was meant as a bit of a nasty comment meaning that you would be ideal for radio as no one would see your face.
Same as Sher. A face for radio hints that someone is ugly.
the bloke i mentioned isn't ugly, just that the voice doesn't match how i thought he would look
Like when you speak to a bird from another office and you imagine she looks as hot as she sounds

Then when you eventually meet her you're usually extremely disappointed
Bet she's more disappointed than you.
Sorry to disappoint you but some haven't been

The others I didn't find out about cos they weren't up to scratch
You need to be careful scrapping the barrel, you'll get splinters.
Oh, believe me I have no need to go anywhere near the bottom of the barrel

How is it down there anyway?
No idea actually.

How funny these two are sherrardk and joeluke who replied to my post last night and then had a squabble !
I once work at the Admirality many moons ago as a good old GPO telephone operator, there was a lady there called Tina [ I use her name as she must be long gone to another world] she had this lovely soft Irish lilt and I believe was one of the finalists for the voice of the speaking clock, she turned down dozens of invites to meet, why ? well she was 6ft tall and built like an Irish navvy, she owned a lodging house in Kentish Town and apparently ruled over it with a rod of iron. The face and the voice most definately did not match, she was a lovely person and could see the funny side of it.
