glands/nodes on your head

I sometimes get small tender lumps on my head at the back. they are not on the skin, but under, and i suppose are a little like the lumps that you get at the base of your neck when you aren't well - are these the same thing?? I only get them now and again but they are annoying.

any ideas?

Could be a sebaceous cyst.
