Does Anybody Write Letters Anymore?
32 Answers
I don't mean letter of complaint, I mean writing to friends and relatives - seems in this day and age with texts and IM's and emails hardly anybody bothers anymore. I noticed my handwriting when writing out cards at Christmas has become atrocious! My children know I'd be very disappointed in them if they didn't write thank you letters to people who have sent them gifts (I mean people far away not somebody face to face) I used to have 3 pen-friends when I was young and I loved receiving their letters

Even now my nieces love getting texts from me as I refuse to use text speak and they always say it's like getting a "proper"letter
I must admit Shaney, if I do write a letter for any reason, it is typed and printed off. Shorthorthand made my handwriting dreadful - basically because after being able to write 120 wpm in shorthand handwriting seemed so laborious and I tried to write too quickly. At least I can get my thoughts down really quickly and write more when I type ;o). I can type far faster than handwrite.
