I was thinking the other day that so many people on here have overcome all kinds of things so thought it would be interesting to have a thread seeing some of the things people have had to face and got through, not saying completely as some things will obviously never go away.

Many things in life mainly lung cancer. Half a lung removed, got through it and hopefully won't have to deal with that again.
Other non life threatening thing social phobia. Unable to eat with other people, shop on my own etc but after excellent help from a cognitive behavioral therapist I'm able to do all all those and more.
*all of not all all*
Serious accident in the pit, which resulted in life threatening injuries, six months in bed, another year before I got back to work and another year before I was anything like normal, though I still get aches and pains after forty years.
Stroke in 2000 which left me with me with quite a few problems, but there's not a lot you can do but soldier on and do the best you can.I also had seven years of marriage which ended with about four years of hell and a very bad divorce.
