Beware Of Scammers Phoning From 001234567890

Hi there over the last few days I have had numerous phone calls from this number the area code is Romania (surprise surprise!!) telling me that they are concerned about viruses on my computer that are running (how the heck they know) I told them I know it was a scam and to go away they then blocked my line for 20 minutes quite deliberately. I cant believe people are falling for this crap TPS is nothing but a paper tiger!!

I think it is time that we should be able to selectively block these sort of calls in the same way that spam e-mail addresses can be blocked. It is hard to believe that the UK phone companies could not routinely provide such a service - I almost wonder if it is in their (financial) interest for these calls to continue ?

Buy yourself a Panasonic home phone and you can add numbers to the blocked list, I like to see from time to time how many of them still try to get through :-) Other phones may offer the same but I only found out when I ditched the terrible BT cordless we had for Panasonic.

This one's been around for a long time, we've always said that nobody on the end of a phone would know there is anything the matter with anyone's computer (or even if you've got one :-)

Unfortunatly it is not a case of the TPS being a paper tiger it is a case of the can't controll calls that come from outside the uk.
I have had these calls i just hang up right away
