Humanist Ceremony

Didn't want to post this over on Religion and Spirituality as it sometimes gets a bit too much over there.
I would like to be buried with my Grandparents in a plot that Granddad bought.
There is room for me and I have all the paperwork.
However, as I'm not religious, I would like a humanist ceremony but is that possible?
I've been to a humanist cremation but not a burial.

The grave is in a cemetery bednobs but there are little churches in the grounds of the cemetery so I don't know how the whole thing works.
One cemetery I know, is one that has 2 different parts to it. One for burials, one for cremations and I've only ever been to cremations so don't know the process over on the burial side.

ps i have been to many funerals because i used to work for a hospice service and have seen all sorts. The very best in my opinion were humanist, or interestingly, quaker.

I had a Humanist Ceremony for my OH, Missprim. Service followed by burial conducted by the Humanist Celebrant.

I agree with bednobs - if the cemetery is not owned by a specific church then there should be no problem with your choice of burial ceremony.

I also entirely agree that the 'best' funeral observances I have ever been to have been humanist ones.
